Westerosi Knights: Allstar Break Team Update
As the All-Star break approaches, here’s a general update on the Westerosi Knights:
Team Overview: The Westerosi Knights have been making headlines with their rookie debut in the OMLB. Sporting a 7-5 record going into the all-star break with 14 runs scored and 13 runs scored against them, the Knights have fought hard for the record they possess. Having faced tough opponents this season ranging from conference leader New York Republic Socalites to last season's World Series Runner Up F.R.K Tigers, the Westerosi Knights have proven to themselves and the OMLB that every game is a chance for victory and the Knights will not go quietly. The Westerosi Knights are hard at work to prove their place in the OMLB and have already notched wins against the NYR Socalites, Austinia Tigers, and the Australia 2045 Crocodiles to prove they can compete at the highest level of baseball competition.
Rising Stars: Prior to and during the season the Westerosi Knights lost pillars of the team in SS Caleb McMaster, 1B Nicholas Murphy, and C Kirk Stone. The void left by these stars is often felt but the respective replacements have risen to the occasion well. C Josh Butler, 1B Javaris Brooks, and SS Jasper Gonzales have performed well above standard in the stead of their gone but not forgotten predecessors. All three men have showcased talent at the plate this season via capability of hitting the long ball as well as explosive reaction time that is seen in their fielding percentages. We continue to watch these rising stars showcase themselves as the second half of season continues and the Knights vie for a spot in the coveted OMLB Post Season and a shot to etch their names in a World Series trophy.
Looking Forward: With the All-Star break serving as a mid-season respite, the Knights are poised to enter the second half of the season with renewed vigor. The focus will be on Butler, Brooks, and Gonzales as they step into the spotlight, carrying the hopes of the team and its fans for continued success. With a 7-5 record and 9 games left in the regular season, the Knights will need to perform valiantly if they are to make the post season. Currently ranked 4th in the Heritage Conference with a hard between 2nd through 4th places, playing every game with ferocity will be essential going forward. The team has coined a new phrase for themselves with the help of some admiring fans, "Mamba Mentality" will need to be embraced, and embraced it shall be!
The realm of baseball eagerly awaits to see how the Westerosi Knights will fare in this new chapter of their journey.
