In a sudden turn of events, Daniel Young, catcher for the Sunbirds has announced his retirement effective immediately midseason. The Sunbirds have signed Abdallah Parker, 27, to replace him. Can Parker provide the same kind of firepower as Young? Time will tell.

Thus far, the Sunbirds are 1-2 with the new lineup.
